One point... for Melania Trump?
Just in these last few days, a spark of confusion has hit the internet with Melania Trump holding a conference stating that she had no knowledge of epstein's crimes. Do we believe her?
Melania Trump denies having any knowledge of what sexual epstine did to his victims, which I don't know how I feel about that. In all realness, that could be true given the way Melania met trump through epstein, but throughout her statement, she uses "I" a lot when trying to clear her name. She says, "The lies linking me with the disgraceful jeffrey epstein need to end today," or "the individuals lying about me are devoid of ethical standards, humility, and respect." Now the only time she talks about her husband is when she states that she and her husband did, in fact, cross paths with epstein because of their social circle. I find this very interesting because first, trump has denied being in cahoots with epstein and also, as Melania is trying to cover her behind, why isn't she saying the same thing about her husband? She never states her, and her husband didn't know about the sexual horrors of epstein only her.
Is this a cry for help? The reason so many were shocked was that the trump administration has tried to distance themselves from the "issue" and she wants to open the case back open again because she also said she want justice for epsteins victims which opens a whole can of worms mostly with the republican party and high profile people who thought trump was going to save them given he's the number one person who needs to be held accountable!
To be honest, I find it hard to believe that anyone so closely associated with Trump and Epstein remained completely in the dark. Given the social circles they moved in, it feels like she knew something at least, not saying she knew specifics or details, you can't help but wonder if the sudden statement being "justice for all victims" is more centered around clearing her name more than anything. On the other hand, to play devil's advocate, it is entirely possible that high-profile men like Epstein and Trump kept their business and their social lives completely separate. If she only saw Epstein at dinners and public events, she might have genuinely seen him as just another billionaire rotating in the circle of corruption and money. Either way, it is worth noting that it's hard to know what the truth is and what is not in an administration that has done nothing but lie to Americans over and over.
ReplyDeleteI'm also torn as to whether she is telling the truth or not. I do find it hard to believe that she didn't know what was going on since she was so close to people that did know. But also, I'm confused why she didn't address her husband in these comments as well. I think that this is just a question that may never be answered.
