Freida McFadden
Freida McFadden is the author of the book, "The Housemaid," which recently was turned into a very popular movie with Sydney Sweeney. For years, she had used a fake name and wore glasses and a wig. She did this to hide her true identity, which was a doctor. She did this so she could keep her two lives separate. I think that this is a really good idea, since fame can cause real harm on someone's life. They can be bombarded by fans and the option of a "normal" life is not a choice. I think using a fake identity is really smart actually, especially if you want to be such a successful and popular figure, yet want to still be able to have a separate and private life outside of your work.
I do love this idea! Alot of celebrities actually have alter-egos or persona's that they take on when they want to go into public and not get recognized. They either wear wigs or wear a lot less makeup and ball caps just so they can do normal things without feeling smothered by people. While this isn't completely normal, I think it still gives these celebrities a sense of autonomy. Honestly her way of doing it is probably the best I've seen; she got to live both lives at once!
