Day in My Life Trend
Many influencers, and those who want to be influencers, post about a day in their life. However, many of said influencers have been called out because of how unrealistic their lives are. I think that when these are posted, it creates another unrealistic expectation about what people's lives are "supposed" to look like. It shows everyone on their good days, running errands, eating healthy, cleaning, doing homework, and overall just things that are more positive that any normal person probably does not do on their average day.
While I do get that people posting their bad days or unproductive days maybe isn't the most entertaining or uplifting, I think also showing that not everyday as an influencer is great. Even sometimes I find myself watching these people's days and comparing them to my own, and they end up making me feel lazy and unproductive. I then also have to remind myself that a lot of influencer's lives on social media is essentially fake, and does not even scratch the surface of their true day to day life.
I agree that these videos can make life look more perfect than it really is, which can make people feel bad about their own normal days. It would be better if influencers also showed their harder or less productive moments so everything feels more real and relatable.
ReplyDeleteThis is so true, I honestly love the smaller influencers because of this because they tend to be less afraid to show the imperfections within their life. I think it would be so much better if big Influencers highlighted both the good and the bad so that people see that everyone has their own individual ups and downs.
