 For my last blog, I do not really have something as big to share as everyone else, so I just wanted to share one more YouTuber I watch for feminist or trend reviews. Becauseimmissy_, or Missy for short, makes videos poking fun at ridiculous trends on TikTok or a hot topic of debate for the week. She has covered Tradwives, Utah Tok, and TikTok Military Wives. She shows her perspective as an ex-pick me and shows how patriarchal our media is wrapped up. While her content is more entertaining than a full essay channel, she still makes me more aware and keeps up with what is happening in the media. TikTok is especially huge and a big place for trends or pop culture. She is a fun channel to watch and involves her husband occasionally. They are an interracial couple, and she also has a perspective on how fetishized asian women can be. She makes parody shorts or TikToks on the trends she covers, or whatever ridiculous thing is happening. I recommend checking her out if you haven't.

    I think it's hilarious that she is labeled as an "ex-pick me girl." I think its people like this that prove that sometimes change is necessary and can have a positive impact on all parties involved.

A Heated Rivalry or Wicked Misogyny?

 As someone who may hold bias to the extent that I refuse to watch Heated Rivalry, I think it's important to state that I've seen a couple of episodes, and the show just isn't for me. I've also watched both the Wicked movies starring Cynthia Erivo and Arianna Grande. Now you are probably wondering what these two media films have in common. Well, nothing to be exact, and I think that's the preface we must state first.  This isn't about the series/movies, it's about the co-stars, but first, here's a little context you may need to understand where I am coming from. Arianna Grande plays in the musical adaptation of Wicked and Wicked for Good, directed by Jon M. Chu. Intro/Post-Grad Plans!

Hi everyone, My name is Emily Webb, and I’m from Frederick, Maryland. I am a senior majoring in Digital Culture & Design with a double minor in Graphic Design and Social Media. I am currently finishing up my applications for Master of Arts in Teaching (MAT) programs in Technology Education or Art Education. My goal is to become a secondary teacher for digital arts courses. I am excited about combining my love for digital media with teaching and helping students develop both creative and technical skills. Outside of school, I enjoy crafting with my Cricut.
