Policy on Women's Olympic vents

On March 26, 2026, the Olympic committee announced that transgender women are not allowed to compete in the women's events starting in the 2028 Olympics. The policy uses a one-time screening to determine their eligibility, and this has already created such a debate around fairness and who gets to define the womanhood of their lives. Sports are such a huge part of pop culture, and this is showing how gender is not just known as personal, but now it is something that is also being controlled by society.  People are saying that a policy like this is affecting transgender individuals as well as intersex individuals. But then others claim that they are protecting women's sports. This can also bring up the fact that medical testing, as well as support from the public, is not equal for everyone since they are pursuing this policy for the future.

  1. HATE HATE HATE THIS. It's incredibly frustrating to see society target the trans community when they take up such a small portion of the population. This propaganda that trans individuals are harmful and a threat to sports is just plain ridiculous.

  2. Transgender individuals make a small percentage in sports, so I do not understand bigotry toward trans individuals especially toward trans women. There's no such thing as "protecting women's sports" since society still promote ideologies that harm and continue to keep women unsafe, so they use this narrative as a scapegoat and point fingers towards others to protect themselves who are the real monsters. They want to protect themselves and protect their billionaire friends who have actively harmed women and children themselves. To create this hysteria is ridiculous and honestly disgusting.

  3. As a cis women who played sports for most of her life, I find this very disheartening. Transgender athletes are already at a small percentage. This argument makes no sense from an athletes perspective as only one person has competed in the olympics and did not even place for a medal. There is no reason for trans athletes in sports to be a target when they are literally putting their bodies through immense trainings for our entertainment just like every other athlete yet they are the facing such immense backlash.

  4. You make a strong point about how this policy connects sports, gender, and fairness. It shows how complicated it is to balance inclusion and competition rules. I also agree that it raises concerns for transgender and intersex athletes, and it makes us question who decides what fairness really means in sports.
