Harry Styles

Harry Styles challenges social norms by wearing clothes like dresses, skirts, and jewelry that are usually labeled as "just for women." By doing this, he shows his fans that clothes don't have a gender and that anyone can have fun with fashion. He also rejects the "tough guy" stereotype by being very open about his emotions and kindness in his music and interviews. His style encourages people to stop worrying about what is "normal" and to just be themselves. Ultimately, he uses his fame to prove that being masculine can include being soft, colorful, and expressive. I really look up to Harry Styles because he shows his viewers that there can be different types of people all throughout the world and no one has to fit one type of mold.

  1. I LOVE HARRY STYLES. He is our pop king, and his style is absolutely everything and just might be better than his music. This post is chef's kiss.

  2. Yes! Harry Styles receives so much criticism for the fact that he refuses to confine to gender norms and I love the fact that he continues to not back down. He continues to dress and act the way he wants to, which is so powerful!

  3. I have LOVED Harry Styles since the early One Direction days, and it honestly makes me proud of little me for choosing someone to look up to that has continued to make an effort to make changes for the better in society, and continues to push the boundaries of societal norms.

  4. I have loved Harry since his One Direction days!! I remember when this photoshoot came out and I was so happy and confused why people were actually mad about it. I think Harry has done a great job of pushing back gender norms as this is not the only time we have seen him wearing a dress. He continues to wear and act however he wants and I think it's really inspiring for his fans to see. I was lucky enough to win the Ticketmaster war so I cannot wait to see him in October!!
