Dune Movies

The release of Dune Part Three's trailer has kept the Dune at the center of pop culture conversations today. With its massive scale, detailed scenery and setting, and super popular cast, the film has been heavily praised for redefining modern sci-fi. Actors like Zendaya have become central to its cultural impact, especially as fans analyze character development and representation. Beyond visuals, the film has sparked discussions about power, colonialism, and environmental themes, issues that feel especially relevant today more than ever. Its success shows that audiences are still drawn to complex, really immersive storytelling, even in an era dominated by fast content. Dune proves that newer films can be both visually stunning and intellectually engaging.

    I agree, and I can’t wait to see this new movie. I remember seeing Part 2 in theatres when it came out, and it was one of my favorites for sure.

    I have not seen any of the Dune movies but have heard nothing but good things. I want to eventually get to watching them.

A Heated Rivalry or Wicked Misogyny?

 As someone who may hold bias to the extent that I refuse to watch Heated Rivalry, I think it's important to state that I've seen a couple of episodes, and the show just isn't for me. I've also watched both the Wicked movies starring Cynthia Erivo and Arianna Grande. Now you are probably wondering what these two media films have in common. Well, nothing to be exact, and I think that's the preface we must state first.  This isn't about the series/movies, it's about the co-stars, but first, here's a little context you may need to understand where I am coming from. Arianna Grande plays in the musical adaptation of Wicked and Wicked for Good, directed by Jon M. Chu. She takes on the role of playing Galina (Galinda the Good), she is a very privileged and self-absorbed young woman who attends Shiz University and ends up facing an internal battle of being for the people or wanting her personal desire to keep her bond with Elphaba. Intro/Post-Grad Plans!

Hi everyone, My name is Emily Webb, and I’m from Frederick, Maryland. I am a senior majoring in Digital Culture & Design with a double minor in Graphic Design and Social Media. I am currently finishing up my applications for Master of Arts in Teaching (MAT) programs in Technology Education or Art Education. My goal is to become a secondary teacher for digital arts courses. I am excited about combining my love for digital media with teaching and helping students develop both creative and technical skills. Outside of school, I enjoy crafting with my Cricut.
