Captain America: Brave New World

I had limited things I could do while out sick, but I was able to watch a few movies and shows. I got to watch Captain America: Brave New World which had been on my list as well as the 2025 Superman movie and others. I didn’t like either movie to be honest. I thought I had watched everything you needed to watch to understand Brave New World, but I was still confused. I may have missed something, but I just did not like it at all. I am not a DC fan, but I still thought maybe I could enjoy Superman. The only thing I liked about this movie was the dog. Feel free to put your opinion if you have seen these movies, but I miss the old Marvel. Something about me has been holding hope every single time they release a new movie, and I continue to be disappointed.

    I loved his movie. I watched it with my parents, and we all liked it so much because we love Marvel. I agree with you that I also miss the old Marvel movies.

    I'm kind of biased since I didn't watch the movie, however, this MCU has done a really awful job at marketing Sam Wilson as the new Captain America. I think it's really unfortunate that the movie wasn't so great and it's a shame because marvel has the total ability to not only market, but also create a better movie, but their methods have just shifted to what would sell better movie wise. Even now since the original Captain America portrayed by Chris Evans will be returning back in Doomsday this December, therefore, Sam Wilson has lost his ability to serve as this era's Captain America.

    I understand what you mean about feeling confused by the new Marvel movies. Sometimes it feels like you have to watch many other films just to understand one story. I also get missing the older Marvel movies because they were easier to follow and more enjoyable for many people overall.

A Heated Rivalry or Wicked Misogyny?

 As someone who may hold bias to the extent that I refuse to watch Heated Rivalry, I think it's important to state that I've seen a couple of episodes, and the show just isn't for me. I've also watched both the Wicked movies starring Cynthia Erivo and Arianna Grande. Now you are probably wondering what these two media films have in common. Well, nothing to be exact, and I think that's the preface we must state first.  This isn't about the series/movies, it's about the co-stars, but first, here's a little context you may need to understand where I am coming from. Arianna Grande plays in the musical adaptation of Wicked and Wicked for Good, directed by Jon M. Chu. Intro/Post-Grad Plans!

Hi everyone, My name is Emily Webb, and I’m from Frederick, Maryland. I am a senior majoring in Digital Culture & Design with a double minor in Graphic Design and Social Media. I am currently finishing up my applications for Master of Arts in Teaching (MAT) programs in Technology Education or Art Education. My goal is to become a secondary teacher for digital arts courses. I am excited about combining my love for digital media with teaching and helping students develop both creative and technical skills. Outside of school, I enjoy crafting with my Cricut. I love designing projects and bringing them to life by pressing my designs onto clothes and other items. Creating something tangible from a digital idea is really rewarding.
