Addison Rae Comeback 2/3-5


For this week, I will be discussing the rise of Addison Rae and how she paved her own way to fame.

I remember being on now known as TikTok, and seeing Addison Rae get popular online by mimicking popular dances or being reviews of products she was sent via PR.

She had close ties with the Hype House/Team 10 house, as they all were mansions full of content creators who collaborated with each other.

She was truly pioneering what it meant to be a famous girl on the short-form content platforms instead of Vine. After doing her time, paving her way through TikTok, landing brand deals, creating a life for herself, traveling the world, coming out with her own makeup line, and collaborating with her dream brands, she took time away from the internet to redefine her brand and set herself up for a fruitful future.

Addison Rae is now a renowned musical artist traveling the world, touring her own music, and working in tandem with artists such as Kim Petras, Charlie XCX, etc. It is clear to see that Rae completely reshaped the trajectory of her character through thoughtful and meaningful planning/authentic expression.

A Heated Rivalry or Wicked Misogyny?

 As someone who may hold bias to the extent that I refuse to watch Heated Rivalry, I think it's important to state that I've seen a couple of episodes, and the show just isn't for me. I've also watched both the Wicked movies starring Cynthia Erivo and Arianna Grande. Now you are probably wondering what these two media films have in common. Well, nothing to be exact, and I think that's the preface we must state first.  This isn't about the series/movies, it's about the co-stars, but first, here's a little context you may need to understand where I am coming from. Arianna Grande plays in the musical adaptation of Wicked and Wicked for Good, directed by Jon M. Chu. Intro/Post-Grad Plans!

Hi everyone, My name is Emily Webb, and I’m from Frederick, Maryland. I am a senior majoring in Digital Culture & Design with a double minor in Graphic Design and Social Media. I am currently finishing up my applications for Master of Arts in Teaching (MAT) programs in Technology Education or Art Education. My goal is to become a secondary teacher for digital arts courses. I am excited about combining my love for digital media with teaching and helping students develop both creative and technical skills. Outside of school, I enjoy crafting with my Cricut.
