Pheobe Bridgers

 


If you’ve ever listened to Phoebe Bridgers, you already know she has this magical ability to make you feel every emotion at once. Like, you’ll be sitting there thinking you’re fine, and suddenly she drops one lyric and you’re staring out a window like you’re in a dramatic indie film. Her voice is soft but somehow cuts straight through your soul, and her lyrics… honestly, they’re like tiny poems that hit way too close to home in the best way.

What’s cool about her is how real she feels. She’s funny, she’s chaotic in a lovable way, and she doesn’t pretend to be some mysterious, untouchable artist. Plus, the whole skeleton suit era? Iconic love her.

Phoebe’s music is perfect for late-night drives, quiet walks, or whenever you just want to feel understood. If you haven’t fallen down the Phoebe Bridgers rabbit hole yet, trust me, you will, and you won’t regret it.

I saw her in concert twice, the first time was at the Stone Pony in Asbury Park it was like actual the most perfect concert.

    She's so good, I am jealous you've been to two concerts. I wouldn't say I have listened to all her music, but her mainstream songs are for sure on repeat. I'm going to have to listen to a few more songs so I can make this conclusion, but I think the soundtrack she uses really sets up the feelings that you perfectly described.

    I love Phoebe's music so much! I was so lucky to see her live when she opened for Taylor Swift at the Eras tour. Phoebe's solo music as well as her music with BoyGenius is all so beautifully written.

    I love her music a lot and the way you described when you should listen to her is perfect because I usually listen to her when I do my nightly clean up before bed or cleaning!!!!

A Heated Rivalry or Wicked Misogyny?

 As someone who may hold bias to the extent that I refuse to watch Heated Rivalry, I think it's important to state that I've seen a couple of episodes, and the show just isn't for me. I've also watched both the Wicked movies starring Cynthia Erivo and Arianna Grande. Now you are probably wondering what these two media films have in common. Well, nothing to be exact, and I think that's the preface we must state first.  This isn't about the series/movies, it's about the co-stars, but first, here's a little context you may need to understand where I am coming from. Arianna Grande plays in the musical adaptation of Wicked and Wicked for Good, directed by Jon M. Chu. She takes on the role of playing Galina (Galinda the Good), she is a very privileged and self-absorbed young woman who attends Shiz University and ends up facing an internal battle of being for the people or wanting her personal desire to keep her bond with Elphaba. Intro/Post-Grad Plans!

Hi everyone, My name is Emily Webb, and I’m from Frederick, Maryland. I am a senior majoring in Digital Culture & Design with a double minor in Graphic Design and Social Media. I am currently finishing up my applications for Master of Arts in Teaching (MAT) programs in Technology Education or Art Education. My goal is to become a secondary teacher for digital arts courses. I am excited about combining my love for digital media with teaching and helping students develop both creative and technical skills. Outside of school, I enjoy crafting with my Cricut. I love designing projects and bringing them to life by pressing my designs onto clothes and other items. Creating something tangible from a digital idea is really rewarding.
