Law and Order

 I’ve been obsessed with Law and Order SVU since middle school. Law and Ordwe focuses on cases with sexual assault, abuse, and other crimes that are sensitive in New York City. The show goes through when they investigate cases to help bring justice for victims. I love this show because it shows all different aspects of what the job comes with and how you have to stay  alert all the time because in the show people they had sent to jail had hits on them or when released had attacked them trying to kill them for sending them away. The show highlights serious social issues dealing with consent, domestic, violence, and human trafficking. Law and Order reflects real life events and sometimes gives me the chill’s because it’s fictional of course, but is based off of real life events. It also helps the victims speak out and shows what victims actually go through and how important it is to believe survivors.

    I love Law & Order: SVU. Not only is it a really good show, but it's also one of the longest shows that has been on air with a female main character, which is amazing! I've binged all the seasons, and I really started watching from such a young age, which I wouldn't recommend, but it was always on cable. It's really a great show and not only do we see how different positions we see open misogyny and how not only higher ups but criminals mistake her for being enforceful because she's a woman.

    Easilyyyyyy one of the best shows out there. I'm obsessed with how intense it is and I love how the main character is a female. As a Criminal Justice major, I totally look up to her, and I have since I started watching it forever ago. I totally recommend this to anyone who's looking for a new show to start.

A Heated Rivalry or Wicked Misogyny?

 As someone who may hold bias to the extent that I refuse to watch Heated Rivalry, I think it's important to state that I've seen a couple of episodes, and the show just isn't for me. I've also watched both the Wicked movies starring Cynthia Erivo and Arianna Grande. Now you are probably wondering what these two media films have in common. Well, nothing to be exact, and I think that's the preface we must state first.  This isn't about the series/movies, it's about the co-stars, but first, here's a little context you may need to understand where I am coming from. Arianna Grande plays in the musical adaptation of Wicked and Wicked for Good, directed by Jon M. Chu. Intro/Post-Grad Plans!

Hi everyone, My name is Emily Webb, and I’m from Frederick, Maryland. I am a senior majoring in Digital Culture & Design with a double minor in Graphic Design and Social Media. I am currently finishing up my applications for Master of Arts in Teaching (MAT) programs in Technology Education or Art Education. My goal is to become a secondary teacher for digital arts courses. I am excited about combining my love for digital media with teaching and helping students develop both creative and technical skills. Outside of school, I enjoy crafting with my Cricut.
