Invisible (Blog 4)

This past weekend I rewatched Invisible with my roommates on Disney Plus. Invisible is a young teen series based in Spain that deals with bullying and other issues in schools. It starts with the main character, Cap, being made fun of and pushed around, and it quickly turns to physical violence and alienation. The series is a sort of mystery because we don’t know what happened to him. The present-day Cap is in a hospital, and we are getting flashbacks of before the incident the entire time. We see the violence towards Cap being ignored by peers, teachers, and friends until one person comes into his life and watches out for him. Although at the beginning it seems very Disney and sort of cheesy, it turns very real at the end. I think this series did a very good job at handling bullying and mental health concerns on a level that is suitable for young teens. It spreads awareness well. I don’t want to spoil any of it, but even though this is a 8th/9th grade level show, I think it is still a very good watch.
