The circle

 In the show The Circle, contestants are only allowed to interact with each other through profiles, and they could either be catfishing the other person or telling the truth. No one finds out until the very end of the show whether the person was lying to them and faking an identity. This show focuses on how your identity is somewhat strategic in a sense, and how the players rely on the stereotypes of other races, classes, and other things. They try to gain trust and friendships with one another. This show also talks about how social media is taking over the culture of dating and talking to someone. They focus on what people look like rather than their personality. As well as the show, sometimes their communication is forced, meaning that it is not how they originally speak to someone; they are just trying to get the other person to like them without knowing their true identity. Finally, this show shows how platforms can be a negative place and how it makes people insecure, and how they are giving the players the opportunity to make their profile something they are not just so that they can get a date.         The Circle (American TV series) season ...
