School Spirits

 


One of my current pop culture obsessions is the tv show School Spirits. This is a show that essentially focuses on solving Maddie, the protagonists murder while journeying through difficult topics of grief, loss, betrayal and complex relationships. We get to look at her perspective of life after death being stuck in a high school full of teenage spirits who met untimely deaths as they try to help her figure out how she died while also helping her get accustomed to her new life. But we also get to watch her friends and family try to figure out what happened to their friend, and holding out hope that their friend is still out there alive somewhere. You are taken through a multitude of twists and turns throughout both seasons, before ending on multiple cliffhangers that have you curious where the third season will take you. The third season which comes out in 2 weeks is expected to be the most mysterious and eerie season yet, and I'm very excited to see the direction in which they take the show.

    I love that you wrote about this show because I am very impatiently waiting for the next season. The cliff hanger at the end of the last one genuinely had me throwing things at my tv I am TOO excited to see how this season plays out.

A Heated Rivalry or Wicked Misogyny?

 As someone who may hold bias to the extent that I refuse to watch Heated Rivalry, I think it's important to state that I've seen a couple of episodes, and the show just isn't for me. I've also watched both the Wicked movies starring Cynthia Erivo and Arianna Grande. Now you are probably wondering what these two media films have in common. Well, nothing to be exact, and I think that's the preface we must state first.  This isn't about the series/movies, it's about the co-stars, but first, here's a little context you may need to understand where I am coming from. Arianna Grande plays in the musical adaptation of Wicked and Wicked for Good, directed by Jon M. Chu. Intro/Post-Grad Plans!

Hi everyone, My name is Emily Webb, and I’m from Frederick, Maryland. I am a senior majoring in Digital Culture & Design with a double minor in Graphic Design and Social Media. I am currently finishing up my applications for Master of Arts in Teaching (MAT) programs in Technology Education or Art Education. My goal is to become a secondary teacher for digital arts courses. I am excited about combining my love for digital media with teaching and helping students develop both creative and technical skills. Outside of school, I enjoy crafting with my Cricut.
