It's About the CHILDREN!- Yours Truly Selena
It’s not about the children. I’m sick and tired of people worrying about unborn (2-second-old babies) but not “babies” that have gotten to see life, make friends, meet and love their parents, or parent (the list can go on and on). I’m not going to bash anyone’s belief or what they choose to believe, but I just want a couple of minutes of your time to stop and actually think. Given the state of the world (politically), whether we women (and not to be insensitive, but those that can bear children) who decided that the government should have a hand on our genitals at all times let me just say sooner or later it will affect us ALL. For the time being, you might be good, maybe all the way up until you have children of your own, but you will soon feel the hurt and pain you helped cause all the other women who just wanted to have an ultimatum at the end of the day. Let’s go ahead and say the big nasty word: ABORTION. Unfortunately, the government and some other small-minded people made this word so scary, and maybe even a bad word depending on how you use it. ABORTIONS are used in many different cases (which I will not go into here, but stay tuned), and not all of them are bad; it depends on how it is used. Just like, okay, another big word: GUNS. Now, why would these two words go hand in hand? Because they both kill, but they both have downsides. But only one is SUPER BAD can you guess which one?The whole meaning of this post is that we have bigger fish to fry. Some people of this country make a big deal about saving unborn children so that they can live to see another day and experience life as we know it to be. It is a SIN to kill an unborn baby I mean, who gave us the right to take a life away without asking, right? Well, what happens when the child is brought into this world, gets to go to school and make friends, only to then lose their life because it’s now legal to own and carry around a gun at the age of 18 years old? Or the fact that somehow, some way, another child gets ahold of a gun to cause pain amongst their fellow students. I don’t see gun reform protests by the same people hassling distraught people who just had a painful and traumatizing experience at their local women’s clinic, or quoting Bible scripture and condemning people to hell for much-needed procedures. But to the parents that have lost a child they’ve seen grow before them, it’s “you are in my prayers.” I could go on and on about this subject, but yeah, I’m genuinely confused. It’s not about the CHILDREN. It was never about the children.
